Push the button on our UCH0057-01EU charger and it sets the battery's state-of-charge (SoC) at 30% – a level compliant with air transportation regulations.
Ultralife’s UBI-2590 batteries are used by militaries and consumers across the globe, making ease-of-shipment by air vital.
Air Transportation RegulationsSince April 2016, Lithium-ion batteries that are offered for transport by air and which are packed by themselves (i.e. not contained in or packed with equipment) are required to be shipped at a state-of-charge not exceeding 30% of their rated design capacity. Failure to comply with these regulations can lead to a fine or imprisonment. |
