History
Lithium Ion - Li(NiMnCo)O2 brings together the high energy density of LiCo2 and the rate capability of LiMn2O4 to create a cell with moderate energy density and good power delivery. The reduction in Cobalt also helps reduce cost and improves safety. Although very popular in 18650 size for power tools the technology is not widely available in multiple sizes as can be seen with LiCO2 technology and this is probably impacting adoption.
