Ultralife qualifies U1 with Medical Cart Inverters
Medical cart manufacturers in Europe can now benefit from Ultralife Corporation qualifying its U1 battery for use with(1) Tripp Lite(2) and Ametek Powervar(3) Inverters, which bring AC power to many existing carts.
Not only does this allow OEMs to benefit from the latest lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology but to easily replace existing LiFePO4 batteries(4) from Valence Technology (U1-12RT, U1-12RJ), Inventus Power (U1-40) or Power-Sonic (PSL-12450). Over 2,000 cycles are possible with our URB12400-U1-SMB, offering substantial return on investment.
As devices in the healthcare sector get smaller and lighter, OEMs may wish to swap heavy sealed lead acid batteries for smart LiFePO4 alternatives. Advantages of LiFePO4 over SLA include reduced weight for the same energy, ability to be mounted in any direction and not requiring charging in a vented area.
Manufactured in the USA at Ultralife’s ISO9001 and ISO13485 certified NY plant; stringent regulatory compliance is assured. The URB12400-U1-SMB itself meets the transportation requirements of ST/SG/AC.10.11 section 38.3 and IEC 62133:2012 safety standards; meaning it can be easily incorporated into medtech certified to IEC 60601-1.
It has never been easier to integrate our URB12400-U1-SMB into existing medical carts, thanks to its compatibility with Tripp Lite and Ametek Powervar Inverters, resulting in direct replacement capability for LiFePO4 batteries from Valence Technology, Inventus Power or Power-Sonic.
